These personal attacks have me ashamed to be considered a Gallia Countian. Signature lines are common on almost every list I'm on, and the majority of the time they don't contain anything relevant to the topic at hand -- people just ignore them. Let's move on and get away from personal attacks. We are here for a common purpose -- researching our Gallia County roots. I don't know Charlie personally, but I do remember that he's been of great help to me on this list. Heck, I offend myself everytime I post on the list about my Campbells because they massacred my Donaldsons (McDonald clan), and they still feud over in Scotland about it to this day! :-) It's a beautiful day here in old Gallia, let's let it be the dawning of a new era, one of genealogical research and cooperation. I have never allowed myself to be drawn into these types of exchanges, but it saddens me to see the time and energy individuals living in this free (so far) Nation. We have loved ones giving their lives to protect this nation and at the same time we have adults slinging insults and showing total disregard for the freedoms individuals have in this Nation to express their thoughts and beliefs. Could it end already? Just now on the news they have announced the death of one of our Nebraska soldiers - leaving a wife and two children and third on the way that he will never see. My family celebrated Christmas and other holidays with a son's chair empty at the table - and not present to open gifts. What on earth is everyone thinking? The individual stated (some 50 e-mails ago) that he didn't realize the message was at the end of his e-mail - But so what if he did or didn't. Move on. If you have so much energy, how about getting involved in issues such as protecting ownership of private property by getting involved with the massive cross-nation highway stretching from Mexico to Canada what will dissolve the borders of our county. That's not a political issue - it's a matter of sovereignty and protecting our Constitution. Or perhaps you would like to work on protecting the privacy of our student's from the massive data bases and warehouses being built in all 50 states that will pass personally identifiable information on ALL students to researchers, surveyors, and many other WITHOUT permission or knowledge of the student and parents. There are so many issues that need people like you. People who care and have energy. They are issues that mean life and death to this Nation. Again - they're not political issues - they are issues that strike at the roots our of Constitution. I would like to stay on the list, but if you deem it necessary, remove me. It's your right - and - men and women are dying so you can exercise that right.
