I, too, agree that the annotated publications can be very valuable. I've done extensive research in another area, where the local society did a short series of annotated census books. Those contained all kinds of valuable clues to making matches that aren't found in any other readily available research publications. Any information that has already been gathered should most definitely be included, most especially when one book, such as of cemetery inscriptions, is an update of one previously written and published. > >
