Looking for information on the Gleason family of Gallia county Ohio. I would like to find the parents of Moses Gleason, born March 9, 1831 in Gallia Co., OH; married a Sarah A. ? in 1852. Gleason and Nancy Gee. I Think Samuel's father was Asa but as this is no my line I have never vertified it. Nancy Gee's paresnt's were Moses and Phebe Lane Gee. They came from N.Y. I have that Moses lived in 1850 Raccoon Twp, Gallia, Oh 1860 Lincoln, Logan Co, Ill 1870 West Lincoln, Logan Co, Ill 1880 York Co, Neb. He and Sarah had two children Alfred and Phoebe both born in Ill. I have that on 6 Nov 1851 in Pike Co.,Oh a Moses Gleason married a Sarah Allison, I don't know if this is the same Sarah that your were looking for. I hope this helps you . Sandi, Thanks so much for taking the time to reply to my query. Yes, this is the line I am looking for, it helps very much. Do you think that Allison is Sarah's surname? I have her obit from the Lincoln Nebraska 1912 Journal. It gave her name as Sarah Allison Gleason, I assumed that Allison was a middle name. But now I am beginning to think it is her maiden name.
