I just googled "Morning Dawn Lodge, Galllipolis" and found this item: "Morning Dawn" was the first lodge to be chartered, on January 5, 1810, by the Grand Lodge of Ohio. Andrew Lewis was the first Worshipful Master. Meetings were originally held in J. B. Ferrard's house on the north corner of Locust and Third Streets. Thank you for looking and googling.. I do believe that when the Gallia Academy building at State and Second burned, this is when the Lodge members moved to another building until they were able to establish a permanent home. I asked Mr. Dixion who is the Lodge historian to find the date for me that they were there. I know that it is stated like that on the marker outside of the ARIEL Theatre building.. but only so much can be put up there.. thanks for the reference.
