It basically runs through Hocking and Athens Counties in Ohio. This would be to the east of Gallia County. Once had a canal running near it and, at least a few years ago, some remains could be seen. It was important (the canal) for the transportaion of goods. It is very beautiful countryside and I think you would love it if you are even able to visit. Athens is the home of Ohio University and Nelsonville houses Hocking Technical College.
