Does anyone know where the name "Ellsworth" would come from? It was my great-grandfather's given name, so I'm curious. There was a long tradition in some of my lines of using the mother's maiden name as a son's first name (i.e. Lydia Hawley m. Aaron Sanford, named son Hawley Sanford), but Ellsworth never shows up as a surname in those lines. It's not a common name, so does anyone know the origin? Pam
