I have just begun to research my family in Gallia County but have come across an "ANGEL" connection. Maybe this person is familiar to one of you Angel researchers and you can verify if I have correct information or might be able to add to what I have. Wiley Angel born about 1857 (died March 9, 1927 in Gallia County) married Sarah Frances Hill (born June 29, 1871 in Lawrence County) on Aug 25, 1891 in Gallia County. I show them (so far ) with 2 children: Grover Cleveland born Nov 6, 1893 and Ester born Nov. 2, 1897. Sarah Frances Hill was the daughter of James Wesley Hill and Mahala Cornell. Don't know if this is new and/or interest to anyone but I found this "tidbit" in my research for Angels. Just copied it so can't verify that it is correct. Wade Angel (born abt 1814 in VA died in 1880s) married about 1839 Jane Henry (born June 30, 1818 in Lawrence County & died May 12, 1873) Children: (1) Robert married 4 times ---1 Elizabeth Barnhart, 2 Sarah Butts 3 Joanna (Smith) Hyson and 4 Martha Stufflebeam (2) Samantha (3) Martha (1843-) married John Kyre (4) Zacharia (1848-1926) married Ellen McKeever (5) Elizabeth (1851) married John Saunders (6) Sarah (1851-1905) MARRIED Edward Nichols (7) Henry (1854) married Margaret I Christian (8) Flora (1862) married George Turner (9) James (1867) If I come across any information on Berry I will pass it along to the list.

I am not an Angel researcher but the information you have on Wiley Angle's marriage is correct. They were married by John W. Lewis and it can be found in Vol. 7, Pg. 166 of the original records.
