    3. There is a website with some not all of the pictures of cemeteries of Gallia County on it. http://www.rootsweb.com/~usgenweb/oh/tombpics/gallia/galliaco.htm Robert Sizemore is the administrator of this sight. Anyone can send their photos of graves to him. Several of the listers have been contributing to this for years. It isn't just Gallia County , it is for all the counties in Ohio. There are nearly 200 cemeteries in Gallia County, some have entrances and some don't. Another great sight for looking for informations on our ancestors is www.findagrave.com It is a site where you may add your loved ones and search for the missing ones. It encompassess the whole United States. I have added at least 50 of my ancestors into this database, you can add pictures of graves or pictures of the relative and put a little bio with them if you want. Check it out. I also found several of my husband's ancestors by doing a surname search. Cheryl Ash689@aol.com wrote: The emails about cemeteries prompted me to send an idea. One of the Indiana county lists I belong to has pictures on its web site of the entrances to the county cemeteries. They are not professional shots but have been taken by a volunteer. So many of us are a very long way from Gallia County and would love to see where our ancestors rest. Just an idea. 3. I enjoyed the website! I'll have to look at cemetery photos I had taken to see if I can add anything. You had mentioned that there were many small cemeteries on family farms. I had visited a family plot which was located on a farm in the Kyger area. The family who currently owns the farm and Shari Creech were so kind as to hike with me to the location. It was a wonderful experience. I'm just curious, is there anything being done to preserve these family sites? Thanks, Vicki Mackie -----Original Message----- From: cheryl enyart [mailto:trayne1837inc@yahoo.com] Sent: Tuesday, April 19, 2005 9:33 AM To: OHGALLIA-L@rootsweb.com Subject: [OHGALLIA-L] Cemeteries There is a website with some not all of the pictures of cemeteries of Gallia County on it. http://www.rootsweb.com/~usgenweb/oh/tombpics/gallia/galliaco.htm Robert Sizemore is the administrator of this sight.
