Hi All: I haven't posted in a time now but I saw the query about the Waddells and the church and I figured I would post a quick note. I am related to the Waddells through Jeanette (Jane) Waddell who married Michael Womeldorff. They were born in 1795 and 1785 respectively. If anyone wants to share on these families, I'd be happy to. Jane, for info, was the daugher of William Waddell and Mary Ross and the granddaughter of Alexander and Eleanor. Some time ago I purchased Gallipolis, Ohio: A Pictorial History, by Henrietta Evans, John Lester, and Mary Woods, 1990, and in it is where I discovered the reference to a church tied to the Waddell family. Right now I can't find the book (such a slob I am) but I will search. It was a poor photo of the back of the church so it's not much to offer. I'm sure Henny can look it up but I don't want to violate copyright and send scans. I do hope someone will find a better photo at some point. Regarding church photos, I'm searching for a photo of a church that was torn down, I think in the 50s, that the Womeldorff family was involved with, providing the property for the church and maybe some funding. If anyone knows more, please let me know. I've already ask Henny about it. The church, I believe, was next to the cemetery where Michael and Jane are buried. Thanks, Bob
