Mr. K. Haybron Adams, a Professor Emeritus of Library Science, Brigham Young University in Provo, Utah will be speaking at the Gallia County Historical and Genealogical Society. The BYU Library has about 4,500,000 books in its collection, and Adams was a History Reference Librarian, the Genealogy Reference Librarian, and Rare Books and Archives Reference Librarian. He has taught genealogy class at the university as well. Adams has written genealogy books on Ohio families and Ohio records. He has spoken at conferences of the National Genealogical Society and other organizations. He has served as a past president of the Utah Genealogical Society as well. Adams will be speaking about genealogical research, libraries, family history, and other resources. He will assist researchers who want to learn especially about records in Germany, German/Russian immigration and Ohio River settlement records from Marietta to Cincinnati from Europe to the United States of America.
