My Uncle who lived in New Mexico used to come back here to visit family in the Fall just to get Pa-Paws from Meigs County. In fact he made arrangements with a gentleman to ship them to him also. He loved them. They say they are similar in taste to a banana but I have never eaten them. Athens County has a Pa-Paw festival in September, at Albany/Lake Snowden area each year and have all kinds of things made with Pa-Paws.
