    3. I had the same thing happen to me. I had been looking for the Will of Henry Fee. My cousin had seen the will and taken it down in shorthand. She went back to the courthouse looking for it and could not find it... missing. When the book was done, the will was missing.. still. One day at the historical society I was looking in the filing cabinet of cases and found his case in the file cabinet. It could have been missing when the book was done. Just like Henry's estate papers, Do you have the number of the case? I will look and see if it is in the box where it should be. We are keeping track of the mistakes that are made and hope to clear them up when we do reprint it. I have a copy of the Wills and Estates 1803-1900 book and a few of my family who died in the 1800's are not listed. What was the procedure in Gallia County when a will was not left? Is it possible that a will was recorded at the courthouse and a copy did not make it into the book? Thank you very much. Karen Karen, I am pretty sure that my ancestor, George M. Chapman's will was not included in the book. His will was signed March 15, 1882 and probated in April 1883. I have a copy of his will which my sister located at the Gallia Courthouse at least 20 years ago. ==== OHGALLIA Mailing List ==== If you want to unsubscribe to the list, send an email to OHGALLIA-L-REQUEST@rootsweb.com with the word unsubscribe in the text of the email.
