    3. The Daily Sentinel March 9,2005 By Beth Sergent The Meigs County Chamber of Commerce was introduced to Chautauqua at their "business minded" luncheon, held Tuesday at the Wild Horse Café. Chautaqua is a Native American word describing the shape of Lake Chautaqua in New York, the one-time site of educational lectures and theater. Chautaqua's lectures and theater productions have been modernized to create a "a gathering" of living history, according to Fran Tiberzio, director of public relations for the Ohio Humanities Council, who spoke to chamber members about the upcoming event, to be held in July in Chester. Tiberzio said her organization is Ohio's version of the National Endowment for the Humanities and has picked Meigs County as the location of their latest Chautaqua, which will focus on "The Roaring Twenties." The Chautaqua willl take place jly 12-16 at the Chester Commons in Chester. The Ohio Humanities Council will provide a tend and 500 chairs for the event that is estimated to cost $50,000. Actors will portray notable historical figures, inclding Henry Ford, Babe Ruth, Zora Neale Hurston, John Dillinger, and Zelda Fitzgerald.
