Gallipolis has a permanent Board of Trade, officered by her leading business men. The common pleas court of this county opened on Tuesday, Judge DeSteigner presiding. Mrs. Caroline Coleman, an aged and highly respected lady, died on Saturday morning at her home in Gallipolis. Mr. George D. McIntyre, of Gallipolis, was recently married to Miss Maime E. Bibby, of Charleston, West Virginia. Ex-Sheriff William Waddel, a pioneer citizen of this county, died, recently, at the residence of his son-in-law in Harrison township, aged 83 years. He was a man of strict integrity. At the last meeting of the Board of School Examiners for this county there were 132 applicants for certificates to teach. Eight were given certificates for 5 years, eight for 2 years and fifty-six for one year.
