Joyce, Thank you so much for the information on the Marine Hospital. I have indexed over 1200 men who were patients at the hospital between 1983-1917. I am indexing them by man, riverboat, and captain. This should give us a good idea of what our river system was like. Each of these forms gives the man's name , age, home area, port of the riverboat, and the captain of the boat. It also gives us the color of hair, color of eyes, complexion, height and weight. It gives us a mental picture of what the man looks like. Once the index is done, people can order the form and be able to use this as a part of their ancestor's story.
