I just wanted to let everyone know that the Gallia County Genealogical Society had their monthly meeting and many new and fresh ideas were discussed. The plans for the "Gene Fest" are moving along with many exciting workshops planned. If you would like more on this and plan to attend please contact me privately or contact the office. We are also finalizing the plans for the First Family and Civil War Family Banquet in October. This is going to be a great event this year with more new and exciting things to do while in Gallia County for the banquet. If you are interesting in attending this and would like more information, please contact me privately or the office. Remember, you do not have to have an ancestor to attend this banquet it is a banquet to celebrate these ancestors. There will be much more on both these activities as the time approaches. The Gallia County Historical & Genealogical Society is also working together on getting some new publications for purchase and those of you interested in CD's well, they are coming in the near future!
