I agree.....there are times when I visit the Ohio Historical Society and get involved with the micorfilmed newspapers and it is hard to pull myself away. One item I particularly remember is an item from around 1850 or so mentioning that a deer had been shot in Gallia County. That items shows how the deer population, even as early as that, was so sparse that it merited a mention in the newspaper. Of course seeing names I am familiar with is always a treat.....
