    3. Hello Joanne, I have 3 Josiah McCalls in my database: 1. Josiah McCall b. April 30, 1813 d. May 3, 1880. His parents were James C. McCall and Elizabeth Jane Northuup. 2. Josiah McCall b. June 24, 1837 d. March 4, 1912 m. Anne Elizabeth Northup on Feb. 9, 1859 (b. 8/7/1838 d. 3/19/16). His parents were James McCall and Marth Blake Phelps. 3. Josiah C. McCall b. March 16, 1864. His parents were Josiah McCall and Anne Elizabeth Northup (above). I didn't have all of Anne Elizababeth Northup McCall's siblings, so thanks for the additional info. on them. I also did not have Anna Margaret Syler, wife of Thomas McCall in my data base. Do you have any born, died, married dates for these people? I only have 4 children listed for Anselum Northup and Lavina McCall. I have James A. b. March 6, 1853, Mariah Jane (no dates), America b. Feb. 7, 1857, and George Hibbard b. Oct. 2, 1858. This Vausie Northup born Feb. 17, 1875...her birthdate is so much later than the 4 I have....were there others inbetween? As always, thanks for any info. you can give, SallyJo ******************************************************************************************************** From: Jokagal@aol.com To: OHGALLIA-L@rootsweb.com Subject: Re: [OHGALLIA-L] Josiah McCall According to my records, Ann Elizabeth Northup (known as Elizabeth) was the daughter of Henry Clay Northup and Charlotte Gilbert Northup. She married Joe (Josiah) McCall. Her siblings were Gilbert, Cirenna, Theodore (who made and sold brooms in Gallipolis), Margaret, and George. Henry Clay Northup was the son of Thomas Northup (Son of Daniel Northup and Anna Hampton Collins Northup) and Anna Margaret Syler. There was a lot of intermarriage between the McCalls and Northups. Her name was Vausie Northup born Feb. 17, 1875 in Gallia County to Ansel Northup and Lavina McCall, their youngest child. Always strong willed and determined, she was not about to spend her days on a farm getting up at the crack of dawn to care for a family. She wanted adventure and a very different life. At a young age, probably after completing school, she left Ohio for Los Angeles where she worked as a secretary. She married Frank Smith who was involved somehow in the movie industry. They lived rather well in a large home in L.A.. He died sometime in the 1950's and she died in Jan. 1971 at the age of 95. She still lived a luxurious life and was sharp mentally until the end. She and my mother, her grand neice, corresponded until her death. I gather that Vausie was known as the black sheep of the family as Los Angeles was not a place for a young girl from rural Ohio. My mother (still alive) adored her and her strongmindedness and often told stories of "Aunt Vausie".
