Nan & Sally Jo, According to the Trowbridge Family book Martha Blake that married Philo Trowbridge. This Martha's parents were David and Martha Daggett Blake which you have as Sally (Sarah) Blake's parents. She would have been older than Martha as her birth was 1790 (and you have Sally's as 1787) and Martha was born in Marietta, Ohio but died at Swan Creek, Gallia County. So you might look in the records in Washington County for possibly Sally (Sarah) birth. Most of the Trowbridge family that came from New England came through Washington County and even Athens County before settling in Gallia County. Washington County has a wonderful research library. David and Martha Blake are buried in the Blake Cemetery in Ohio Twp and their tombstones say " immigrated to this state 1785" The following are buried with them, Hannah P., Anselm T., C.B., & Gratia T. There are a few other Blake's in this cemetery but know of the ones you are searching and no Phelps that I can find. My cemetery book for Ohio Twp. is not indexed and it takes longer to find anyone.
