Joyce, I think it is interesting that my John Cooper who died sometime in 1861 or 1862 in Gallipolis named his children in such a similar pattern as Cunningham Sample and Eliza did. Unfortunately with such a common name as John Cooper I am not sure how we can prove that this is indeed Cunningham's son. Personally I think that he probably is, based on the names and the circumstances. Do you have the Coopers back further? Is it posted somewhere? How far back have you been able to trace them? Do you know where in Germany Eliza was born? Geneology-just when I was going to give up I get clues that gives me the fever again! Diane
