It changed to CSX, is that the same one? There's going to help me with all the Ohio railroads though. They said it's tricky because the railroad retirement board only has from 1936 on and you have to pay about $30.00 to order those. I'm looking at the 1880's. Apparently the railroad in Southern Ohio has a rich history because it was also the subject of "invasions" by the South into Ohio during the Civil War. The Ohio Archives has a whole list of how the Civil War soldiers invaded the trains. It's pretty interesting [I think anyway]. No! The New York Central and The Pennsylvania Railroad first merged and became Penn Central then in the mid-seventies these two merged companies became Conrail. I really love that site for getting death records, but I've had a couple of occasions when I suspected I was getting bad results, and today I'm convinced. Last week, I pulled off a record for a Scott Wilson. Today I tried to find the list of Scott Wilsons again, and the site reported "no search results." Is it just discriminating against me of have others had this happen, too? If it's discriminating against me, I might be sorry I asked. :(

hey everyone ancestry.com has free online newspapers until june 19, 2006 thought maybe this might be useful. virginia moses
This website: www.gencd.com/ sells all kinds of neat CD's. They are expensive, but I can see where they would come in handy. I purchased and received a set last year called Ohio Marriages Collection [all of Ohio] 1970, 1972-1990 It kind of covers the years that are harder to find without going to the Society because they are more current years. I also purchased Ohio Divorces Collection [all of Ohio] 1960's-1990's Now she has the following on the website; CD 400 Ohio Birth Index 1959-1996 3 CD Set [Search by Certificate Number, City, County, Date of Birth, Name of child, Maiden name of mother.] It costs $195.00, but I was thinking of purchasing it this year and if anyone wants me to look up anything I can do so. She also has one called: New York Births and deaths 1800's -1992. Boy would I like THAT one. It's $89.00. Some states are really hard to find info. For. I've had a heck of a time with late 1800's Massachusetts. Teresa Herrmann Columbus, Ohio

Hi Tim, what do you mean by any records????? Just kidding, but we do have thousands of records. What are you looking for? Have you seen Shari Creech's book on Cheshire? We have them for sell for her at our office. We also have an extensive obituary collection, both online and in our office. We add to that weekly. That's another way people can contribute, by sending them in along with family histories. They just might help the next person. Henny Smith <cdt1@att.net> wrote: I just read the post by Mariorie L.
