    3. Sandi, Thanks so much for taking the time to reply to my query. Yes, this is the line I am looking for, it helps very much. Do you think that Allison is Sarah's surname? I have her obit from the Lincoln Nebraska 1912 Journal. It gave her name as Sarah Allison Gleason, I assumed that Allison was a middle name. But now I am beginning to think it is her maiden name. Thanks again for the help. 3. Hello Everyone, I know there are many experienced researchers who access this mailing list and am hoping someone may find the information useful. I was on Ebay and doing several searchers. When I searched 'certificates' under antiques I was so amazed to find a number of sacramental certificates. I believe there is a marriage certificate from Ohio listed. There is also an amazing number of photos...especially tintypes listed. It saddens me to see the history of some families lost and up for auction with folks unrelated to the family buying them up. I do hope this post helps someone locate something that belongs with their family. Regards, Wendy Fischbach To accomplish great things, we must not only act, but also dream; not only plan, but also believe. -Anatole France __________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!? 3. Henny, I went through all my dad's old negatives and found a few old pictures of a flood @ 1940. I know it isn't the 37 flood.. also some pictures of things around Gallipolis, like the old bus station, downtown shot down Second...etc. Would you be interested in having these photos for the photo page on galliagenealogy. 2. When that county finally catches who has been doing this (and they will!) I hope they find the most weed infested, tree rooted, briar laden cemetery to be recently found for the brats to dig out...by themselves. Have them mow every cemetery in the county, with a push mower! That should make them appreciate all the hard work that people like yourselves and these socieities have done over the years. -------------- Original message -------------- From: <[email protected]> > I've been hearing 'rumors' of this travesty from some Jackson county folks and > just happened across the article on another Rootsweb site. This took my father by surprise; his father was Hugh Scott. My father apparently told the woman that he was John Scott, son of Hugh Scott - and this woman - Annie Moore (today I?ve discovered her official registered name was Anna Moore) then told my father that she was his grandson. My father replied, ?Oh no, that can?t be. My grandmother is dead.? Annie Moore, according to my father then replied, ?Oh, is that what they?ve told you??
