Levi McDaniel moved to Jackson County, Ohio, in 1819. He was a Baptist minister. He baptized many people in the rivers of Gallia and Jackson Counties. He was one of the earliest ministers of the Sandfork Baptist Church in Walnut Township, Gallia County, Ohio. Levi McDaniel married Frances Massie and they had 13 children, but six died in infancy. The children that survived infancy were: James, Lewis, Alfred, John, Levi, Jr., and Martha (she married a man named McLaughlin). From Scioto County, Ohio Probate records comes this copy of Levi's will: In the name of God Amen. I Levi McDaniel of Scioto Co., Ohio, make and publish this my last will and testament in words and form to wit: After my death I wish all funeral expenses and just debts paid, then I wish my wife to have the full control of my farm and one full third of the proceeds of the same as long as she lives. I wish my wife to be my executrix and to have full controle (sic) of my propperty (sic)to use on the farm or to sell at public or private sale as she may think best. I wish my daughter Marthy Shanly to have one hundred dollars ($100.00) at the death of my wife. I wish my property personal and real equally divided between the balance of my heirs named as follows: my sons James, William, Lewis T., Alfred, Jehu, John, Levi, and the heirs of John to have his share. I have aimed at what I thought was justice and hope all will be satisfied. In Witness thereof I hereunto set my hand and seal this 19th day of October, 1864. Levi McDaniel (his seal) The foregoing instrument signed published and declared by the above named Levi McDaniel as and for his last will and testament in presents of us who at his request have signed at witnesses to the same. Whoops! I sorry, I forgot to erase the note that I replied to. Teresa Herrmann
I have all the Mulfords on my tree, which ones are you looking for? Enos Cook Mulford who married Zuba Ann Van Meter was living in Sutton, Meigs County, Ohio during the 1860 census, along with all his children. They were originally in Mason County, West Virginia for the 1830 till 1856 time period then hit Meigs County, Ohio. Enos Mulford's father, Ezekial Mulford was born in Wayne County, Pennsylvania and moved to Point Pleasant, Mason County West Virginia; had all his children, then moved to Cheshire, Gallia County, Ohio where he died in 1871. He was buried in the "Old Roush Cemetery" in Cheshire Township, Gallia County, Ohio Let me know who you want. There are 136 Mulfords in Ohio on 1860 census. None listed living in Gallia Co., but perhaps whoever you're looking for was in another place that year. County lines changed over time too. What given names? juanita > I am looking for anyone surname Sands or Mulford > I am hoping someone has a index book because i am not finding what i > am looking for on ancestry.com Thanks in advance > > Chad > > ------------------------------- > To unsubscribe from the list, please send an email to > [email protected] with the word 'unsubscribe' without the > quotes in the subject and the body of the message
