    1. [OHGALLIA] Any Books on Civil/Probate Courts Records
    2. Matthew D. Friend
    3. Hi Gallia County Listers: Does anyone know if there is any books that have transcribed all the early civil/probate/common pleas court from 1820-1830? I am trying figure out how or why my 3rd Great Grandfather, Andrew FRIEND have given the family land to Andrew FRIEND and Madeline WHITSOL, who sold the land in 1825 and then disappeared. I have found an Andrew FRIEND in Jackson County, however, his age is rather off from the ages of the children of Andrew FRIEND and Elizabeth PERAGEN. So I am trying to figure out whether this Andrew and Elizabeth could have came to Indiana together before he suddenly died along the way or in Indiana and just gave the land to Andrew and Madeline. Or Andrew FRIEND died and Elizabeth asked son Andrew FRIEND to sell the family land (because he is the man of the family at the time and Nicholas was living in Indiana in 1825). Then she moved to Indiana with her two youngest daughters, Harriet and Electa Ann. Basically, I am trying to weight all my options as to how to look at the unwritten story of what actually happened to Andrew FRIEND (the father) and the reason why Elizabeth moved to Indiana. Thanks for bearing with me on this conplex concept of my family history. 3. Hi Diana, Johann Henrich Eagle and Margaretha Horner (I have Hor-ner) are my 5th g gparents. It appears, at the start, that there are going to be a lot of differences between your data and mine. I will include your data with mine, noting the differences. I will do this in segments. Thanks for the info. 3. Here's another wrinkle. According to the 1930 Census, a William Glenn, age 23 is the stepson of Clem Craig, age 65, spouse is "Nelle" Craig, age 37. Family resides in Logan, Hocking, Ohio. Ages match up with Nellie McMILLIN and son Willie Delbert GLENN. Perhaps Nellie married Clem Craig before Calvin Roberts? Need to find a marriage record for her marriage to William GLENN, and the ones to CRAIG and ROBERTS. I suspect that Willie Delbert GLENN's Feb 5 birthdate is prior to Nellie's marriage to William GLENN...reported as a month before his unfortunate death in Jul 1906. Still looking for collaborating evidence that Harrison Ellsworth GLENN & Mary E Peoples are the grandparents. 3. Hello cousin Debbie: Thanks for this new info on Willie Delbert GLENN and family. I did not realize that there even was a book of Birth Records Volume 4 1904 to 1921. I do not see Vol 4 listed on the Gallia County Historical and Genealogical Society website. Now, all I need is collaborating evidence to establish Harrison Ellsworth GLENN, or George E (Eagle) GLENN as the father of Willie GLENN, who died in the train accident in 1906. I'll write you off list to catch up.
