    1. [OHGALLIA] WILLIAM A. COTTRILL
    2. Checked the 1917 draft card for Lorenzo Dow Cottrill b 3 May 1881 and it lists residence as Rte. I Alice, Gallia, Ohio although he registered with the Vinton County draft board. Lists wife as Sophia Lena Cottrill and her residence is Alice, Gallia County as well. 1910 census shows Lorenzo ( a widower) and family as follows: Wilson age 8, Wm. F age 6, Lorenzo D. age 4, Robert age 2, Homer no age, and Sarah, his mother. 1920 census shows them living in Wellston Twp., Jackson County, Ohio. I think it is an odd coincidence that Williams Cemetery is listed for William and that it is an error. Perhaps a search of all cemeteries in Vinton County might yield some info. 1. [OHGALLIA] OGS Conference...Gallia to receive 25 year award
    2. Henny Evans
    3. Come see us at our tables at the OGS Conference this weekend. We are taking lots of books, genealogical tee shirts....really clever with all sorts of sayings, magnets, earrings, key finders and more. Plus we get to attend a variety of classes...there is ALWAYS something new to learn. On Saturday we will be awarded our 25 year certificate!!!!!!! We have been the Gallia County Genealogical Society since 1983...hard to believe all those years have gone by. Several of our chapter members will be receiving state lineage pins, so congrats to them. Our office remains open while we are gone as we are expecting several visitors from Arizona as well as from northern Ohio this week. Location is 57 Court Street. We have several major projects/events planned to celebrate our 25 years so stop in and be part of it. It's a fun year to join our lineage groups....First Families, Civil War and Settlers and Builders. If you have questions, we're there to help. You can contact me privately or write us at galliagenealogy@sbcglobal.net. Check out our website galliagenealogy.org for all sorts of information. Henny Evans
