Are you talking about James McGhee who married Amanda McMillin (of course)?  I don't have a Jane McGhee as a child of James McGhee b. 22 June 1814.  However, I'll do further checking.  You really cannot separate our ancestors! They definitely married one another frequently! I forget, do you live near Gallia County?  I wish I could make it back there again someday. Oh, the digging I would do! 3. Donald:I have been going through those 5 families the last few days- checking the sibs of my direct line.  I'm not done yet, but the only thing I have found is in the Ewing Family Journal of May 2019.  There is Ada Louella Wallace (b. 1854, Mass.) who married Thomas Butler Ewing.  If I am reading it right, Thomas is listed as a child of Alexander Ewing of Crow Hill Farm (b. 1822, County Donegal Ireland).  I'm pretty sure this is a different branch of the Ewing family tree than the one I am on.  My Ewings are : "Indian John", "Pocahontas James", "John of Carnashannagh" and William (b.1625)- see the Ewing Family Journal of November 2012. I will continue to look at my Gallia County kin and let you know if any more Wallaces show up:)  The Ewing Family Association may be of more help- especially Karen Avery.  The website is ewingfamilyassociation.org.  I can look up Karen's email address if you decide to go that route.  There are others in the association that have 2 or more of those surnames in their family history. 3. Randy-  Thank you for he markers for Laura & Edward.  Isabel & Anselm are my great-great grandparents, thru their daughter Sarah, who married Joseph Brumfield.  I had 2 pictures restored- one of Sarah, looks like she is sitting for a portrait.  The other one is of Anselm, taken of him in a street with his horse & dray.  The photographer involved in the restoration said that it was very rare to have a "street scene" like that.  So are you descended from Charles or Laura?  Do you have any idea who bought the beautiful marker in Ridgewood for Anslem & Isabel?  I can just about guarantee it wasn't anyone in Sarah's family.I'd be glad to send you a copy of each photo, just need a street address.  My email is lbbozzelli@yahoo.com if you would rather provide private info that way.I also have not been able to find Alfred's parents.  What led you to Somerset PA?  I don't have much about Mariah.  Do you agree that her parents were James McGhee and Margaret Hazelett and that she was born in Columbiana County OH?Linda Bozzelli On Sunday, September 29, 2019, 11:15:47 AM EDT, randy1981--- via OHGALLIA <ohgallia@rootsweb.com> wrote: Hi Linda, I have researched the McMillin, Holcomb, Ewing and Jame's lines for years. 3. I have hit a brick wall and hope someone on this list-serve will be able to help. I would like to know any background information on my 2GGFa William H. Bennett. I have no information about his parents or siblings. I would also like confirming documentation for the birth of his second child, Joseph Bennett on 15 Aug 1857. I believe that William worked as a miner. Here is what I already know: My 2GGFa was William H. Bennett born in Kentucky sometime in the 1820s. My 2GGMo was Jane Howarth born in England. They married on 4 March 1885 in Gallia County. Their first born child, William H. (Jr?) was born on 27 Oct 1855 in Gallia County. Their third child, Samuel was born at Samples Landing in Gallia County on 14 Aug 1860. These dates and locations are recorded in the family bible. Their second child, Joseph was born on 15 Aug 1857 perhaps in Gallia County or at Syracuse, Meigs County. The family bible has only the date of his birth. By 1863 the family was living in Illinois and I near as I can tell never returned to Ohio. I have found the family at Crawford County, Missouri in the 1870 census and Macoupin County, Illinois in the 1880 census. I have not found a credible match in the 1860 census. There were 9 children born to William and Jane. My 2GGMo died in Crawford County, Missouri on 15 Feb 1883 and her son William died there the following year. My 2GGFa died at Portland, Oregon on 27 Jan 1894 and is buried there in an unmarked pauper’s grave. Thank you for your consideration. Lee Bennett
