    3. According to the "Catholic Encyclopedia" (Robert Broderick, 1976), O.S.J. can also mean "Oblates of St. Joseph." I have seen instances in civil marriage records where a Catholic priest was designated both by "M.G." and by the abbreviation for his order. Maybe researching T. R. Cresay would clear things up.
