Author: locketheart Surnames: Classification: queries Message Board URL: http://boards.rootsweb.com/localities.northam.usa.states.ohio.counties.franklin/15136.2/mb.ashx Message Board Post: I don't know if this will help you any at all, but McDowell is located in the Franklinton area of Columbus. It is located west of downtown. It is only maybe three blocks from the Sciota River and Central H.S.. A lot of the buildings were destroyed due to a flood that hit that area, I can't remember what the date of that was. It was a terrible flood, lots of damage from it. Sometimes you can't believe everything the Historical Society. I will check to see if I can't find out more for you. Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list.
