He was a member of St. Nicholas Catholic; church. Mr. Kimmel was formerly of Zanesville but moved to Columbus, returning here about seven years ago. Surviving in addition to the daughter at whose home he died is another daughter. Mrs. Edgar Erven, of Forest Park. Ill.; two sons. Carl of Columbus and Fred of Philo: three grandchildren; and five great grandchildren. The body was removed to the Egan-Ryan funeral home in Columbus. Services will be held Saturday morning. Burial will be in a Columbus cemetery. ************************************* The Zanesville Signal, page-5, 8-9-1944 Former Resident Dies in Columbus Mrs. Rose A. Kimmell, 77, formerly of Zanesville, died Tuesday afternoon at her home in Columbus following a stroke suffered two weeks ago. A native of McConnelsville, she had come to Zanesville early in her life and resided here until 20 years ago when she moved to Columbus. She was a member of the St. Nicholas church when she lived here. Surviving are her husband, William; two daughters, Mrs. Louise Atwell of Zanesville, and Mrs. Mary Irvin of Chicago; two sons, Karl Kimmel of Columbus and Fred Kimmel of Philo; one sister, Mrs. Maggie Eger of Zanesville; three grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
