OH lists Sally (Sarah) Scoby as 33, but I believe her to be 43 based on the children's ages and her age listed in the next census. Her children are listed as Alfred 18, Nancy 15, Gideon 13, Henry 10, Christen (actually Clinton) 8, Mary 6, Harriett 5, Josephine 1. No husband is listed. The 1860 census for Franklin Co. OH lists Sarah Scoby 1808, Gideon 1837, Hury (Henry) 1840, Clinton 1842, Mary 1844, Hariett 1846, Josephine 1849. Clinton enlisted in the Union forces from Indiana. I've got a note in my file that Henry moved to Nevada by 1870, but I didn't write where I got that information. Also, another researcher told me that Clinton's father was Charles Scoby, but the e-mail with that is buried in my disorganized files somewhere and I didn't type the source into my database. Hope that helps! I let my paid subscriptions to the genealogy websites lapse a few years ago. Please let me know if you are able to come up with anything else about this Scoby family.
