Columbus Dispatch, 10-01-1928 Transcribed by Joyce Robinson WAS JUSTICE OF PEACE Suffering a hemorrhage Sunday morning in his home three miles northeast of Lockbourne, on the Wolfe road, where he had lived 59 years; WILLIAM STRICKLER, aged 80, succumed a few hours later. He was a Civil War veteran. a member of the First Ohio Volunteer Cavalry and was a member of the G.A.R. Drill Corps of Columbus. Mr. Strickler was a lifelong resident of Hamilton Twp., where he was a farmer and where he had served 36 years as justice of the peace. He was a member of Walnut Hill M. E. church, where at 2 p.m., Tuesday, funeral services will be held following a brief service at the home, by Rev. H. Harbaugh of Pickerington. Interment by Denton and Donaldson will be made in Walnut Hill cemetery. Surviving are the following relatives: Two daughters, Mrs. J. M. RANCK and Mrs. F. B. FLORY, Lockbourne; two sons, W. G. and J. R. STRICKLER, Columbus; a granddaughter, Miss RUTH L.
