Ambrose T. PINNEY, his wife and sister are in the 1900 census from Onarga, Iroquois, Illinois. And in 1880 there is a listing for A. Todd and Mary F. along with the families of Horace and William T. Pinney. William can be shown to be a son of Horace, but nothing proven about Ambrose other than living in the same township. There is another Ambrose Todd Pinney (1828-1850). He and Horace are step-brothers, both sons of Chester. However with the birth of the sister in March 1870, the older Ambrose also would not be the father of the younger Ambrose. There are several other sons of Chester, none of them well documented that I saw, but perhaps they are possibilities. The sister, Mae C. Phinney, should be in both 1870 and 1880 census listings and nothing found on her in either. Some of the pieces seem to be missing.
