Don was born in Columbus, Ohio on October 6, 1933 to the late George Alonzo Lynch and Gladys Ruth Detamore Lynch Weaver. He attended Bellows avenue school and Starling Jr. High. He was a graduate of Central High School Class of 1951. He was a carrier for the Columbus Dispatch. He married Joyce Barrett in Zanesville, Ohio in 1954. Mr. Lynch was employed by David Davies and Conn's Potato Chip Co. as a route sales driver. He was known as "Don the Conn Man". Don enjoyed bowling, horse races, his stock market club, and playing cards and ice cream. He is survived by sons, Lance (Allison) Lynch of Nashport, Ohio and Lawrence (Shelley) Lynch of Hopewell, Ohio; four daughters, Linda (Jeff) Fitzpatrick of Zanesville, Ohio; Lace (Douglas Greiner) Lynch of Zanesville, Lorraine "Lori" Julian of Nashport, Ohio and Leslie (Tom) Colopy of Nashport; a sister, Patricia (James) Roberts of Nashport, Ohio; Brother-In-Law, Wayne (Patricia) Barrett, Zanesville, Ohio and Sister-In-Law Georgianna Mattey (Fred) Barwick of Pickerington, Ohio; aunt, Peg Detamore of Pinellas Park, Florida; two stepbrothers, Jim (Judy) Weaver of Georgia and John Weaver of Michigan; ten grandchildren, Lauren, Lexanne, and Larissa Lynch, Larry (Jen) and Dylan Fitzpatrick, Braden Greiner, Dawn Julian, Erin, Adam, and Kurt Colopy many dear cousins, nieces, nephews and friends. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Joyce; a son-in-law, Rob Julian, Mother and Father-in Law, Beatice Norris Mattey and George Joseph Mattey; also a stepfather, James Allison Weaver. Calling hours will be 2-4 and 6-8 on Sunday, August 22, 2010 at Snouffer Funeral home,1150 Military Road, Zanesville, Ohio. Mass of Christian burial 10 a.m. on Monday, August 23, 2010 at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic church, 144 North 5th Street Zanesville, Ohio. Burial will follow in Mt. Olive Cemetery, Zanesville, Ohio.
