Columbus Dispatch, The (OH) - September 6, 2004 Deceased Name: Frances G. Fitez FITEZ Frances G. Fitez, age 92, of Columbus, died Friday, September 3, 2004. She was a 1934 graduate of Otterbein College with a B.A. in Music, in organ and piano. Her husband George R. Fitez; parents M.C. and M.E. Grove and sister Cora E. Young preceded her in death. She is survived by her sister, Mary Plaut of Columbus; niece Mary E. Gemmill of Hatsboro, PA; nephew, Paul Fitez, Jr. of Dayton, OH; sister-in-law, Pauline Fitez of Elkins, WV, grand-nephews Jeffrey and Kenneth Gemmill of Hatsboro PA. Frances was a Past Matron in 1951 and a 50 year member, Beacon Chapter 593 Order of the Eastern Star and a Grand Representative of Nebraska, 1956 and Kentucky, 1959, Order of the Eastern Star; Past High Priestess, 1957 and a 50 year member Thea Court 5, Ladies Oriental Shrine of North America; 50 year member, North Star Shrine 45, White Shrine of Jerusalem; member of Columbus Assembly 79, Social Order of Beauceant; and Master of the Grand Cross of Color, International Order of Rai! nbow for Girls. She was also a member of Tau Delta Sorority; the Otterbein Women's Club and was a founding member of the Women's Pharmacy Group. A funeral service will be held 7:00 PM Tuesday, September 7, 2004 at the RUTHERFORD-CORBIN FUNERAL HOME, 515 High Street, Worthington, with Pastor Kristin Schutte officiating. Friends may call at the funeral home on Tuesday from 5:00 PM until service time. A graveside service will be held 3:00 PM Wednesday, September 8, 2004 at the St. Paul's Cemetery in Clear Springs, Maryland. For those who wish, memorial contributions may be made to either: The Ohio Masonic Home, The Ohio Eastern Star Home at Mount Vernon or to a charity of ones choice.
