Grove City Record, Jan 8, 1932 Transcribed by Joyce Robinson CHARLES HAENSZEL After an illness of but one day, CHARLES HAENSZEL, one of the oldest residents of this community, died at his home, two miles west of Grove City on the Big Run and Georgesville Road, Wednesday evening at about 9 o'clock. Mr. Haenszel was born in Germany Feb. 2, 1847, and came to this country at the age of twenty-four. He has resided here nearly all his life in America. He was a blacksmith by trade and worked at it until he was 75 years old, since which he has lived in retirement. Mr. Haenszel is survived by his wife, ELIZABETH; two sons, CHARLES, of GALLOWAY, and JOHN, at home; five daughters, Mrs. KATIE REIBEL, Galloway; Mrs. LOUIS GROSSMAN, Dutech Pike, Mrs. CARL MILLER, near Pleasant Corners, and MARY and ELIZABETH, at home. Three half- brothers, FRED, JOHN and MATHIAS, and a half-sister, Mrs. LENA SHEY of Leipsic, Ohio, also survive. Funeral services will likely be held Saturday afternoon at 2 o'clock, with Rev. Theo.
