"FIGHT VICTIM STILL IN SERIOUS CONDITION" "The condition of John Wentzel, 42, who suffered a fractured skull in a fight Sunday morning, is still serious, with no change noted during the night, University Hospital officials said today. Arthur P. McGonagle, 35, who was in the fight in which Mr. Wentzel was injured, is being questioned by police." DEATHS, FUNERALS "Lender rites will be held 2:30 Tuesday.. Vice President of Columbus Bank Note Co. Victim of Pneumonia" "Charles G. Lender, vice presient of the Columbus Bank Note Co, who died Saturday of pneumonia in Grant Hospital, will be buried in Green Lawn Cemetery, following services at 2:30 p.m. tomorrow at the Whetsel-Lowry Funeral Home. Mr. Lender, who was 75, had been associated with the Columbus Bank Note Co. 40 years. He was a member of the York Lodge of Masons, the Elks and the United Commercial Travelers. A life-long resident of Columbus, he lived at 52 Winner-av. Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Mae Lender; two daughters, Mrs. Dorothy Lowry, Mrs. Ethel Hause, Kovena, Cal., and two sons, Charles F. Lender, and Rudolph A. Lender." "Abraham Shaw" Funeral arrangements were being completed today for Abraham Shaw, formerly of Columbus, who died eysterday at his home in Marion. Mr. Shaw, who was 60, was the brother of Harry H. Shaw, funeral direcor fo the Shaw-Davis Funeral Co. He is also survived by his wife, Mrs. Carrie Shaw; a son, Virgil Shaw, Defiance; one daughter, Mrs. Clyde Wrench, Galion; a sister, Mrs. Luther J. AMerine, Marysville, and two other brothers, Howard Shaw, Marysville and William L. Shaw, Independence, Mo. The Shaw-Davis Co. is in charge of funeral arrangements." "Elmore Putnam" "Elmore Putnam, real estate dealer who died Satuday at the family home, will be buried in Green Lawn Cemetery." "Mrs. Myrtle B. Trout, FUneral services will be held at 2:30 p.m. tomorrow at Lancaster for Mrs. Myrtle B. Trout, formerly of Columbus, who died Satuday at her home in Lancaster. She was the wife of M.L. Trout, president of the M.L. Trout Realty Co., Lancaster. Also surviving are three daughters, Mrs. T.J. Wallace, Huntington, WVa; Dorothy and Madge Trout, at home, and two brothers, J.B. Lecrone, Centerburg, James G. Lecrone, Chillicothe. Burial will be in Forest Rose Cemetery, Lancaster." "Mrs. Sarah E. Griffith" "Funeral services will be held at 8 p.m. today at the P.E. Rutherford chapel for Mrs. Sarah E. Griffith, who died yesterday of heart disease at the home of her son, Dr. Joseph Griffith. She was also the mother of Dr. Harry Griffith, and wife of the late Dr. Samuel Griffith, Bellsville, O. mrs. Griffith was a member of the North Broadway M.E. Church, the eastern Star and Rebekahs at Bellsville. She was 74. Also surviving are a brother, Barney Morris, Kansas City, Kas.; a sister, Mrs. Lucinda WIley, Jerusalem, O., and five grandchildren." "Wendell Davis- Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. tomorrow at the Egan-Ryan chapel for Wendell Davis, former inspector in teh City Street Cleaning Department, who died Saturday in White Corss Hospital, after an illness of two months. Mr. Davis, who was 57, had been an employee of the Schiff Shoe Co. for the last three years and a life-long resident of Columbus. Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Mayme Davis; a son, Ralph Davis, at home; three brothers, George, Webb, and Frank Davis; four sisters, Mrs. Henry Beuhler and Lillian, Edna, Davis, all of Columbus.
