    2. Grove City Record, Oct. 6, 1927 Transcribed by Joyce Robinson ROBERT FORMAN DIES AFTER A LONG ILLNESS HAD SEEMED TO REGAIN HEALTH FOLLOWING OPERATION UNTIL JUST BEFORE END ROBERT F. FOREMAN, born in Muskingham County July 30, 1857, passed away at his home here Monday afternoon, Oct. 3. aged 70 years. 2 months and 5 days. Mr. Foreman had been in failing health for about three months. During the latter part of July he had submitted to an operation at Mt. Carmel Hospital and following his return home from there had seemed to be greatly improved. About a week before Mr. Foreman's death his condition became serious and grew steadily worse until the end. The immediate cause of his death was said to have been uremia, complicating a cancerous condition. Mr. Foreman was left an orphan by the death of his mother when he was seven years of age and was reared by Rev. and Mrs. JESSE PETTY in Muskingham County. He remained with them until twenty-one years of age when he went to work on a form (sic) near Lilly Chapel in Madison County. While there he was married to Miss OAKLEY PIERCE in 1886. To this union were born two sons, CHARLES, residing two miles from Grove City, and JESS, living at home; also a daughter, Mrs. EDDIE BROTHERS, of near Abbottstown, Pa. Mr. Forman is survived by three (sic) three children, six grandchildren, his widow and a brother, A. C. FOREMAN of near Harrisburg. About 1900 the family moved to Gallia County, where they resided for nine years, during which they were engaged in farming. Returning to the vicinity of Lilly Chapel, they remained there for about eight years. In 1921 the family moved to Grove City where they have since resided. Funeral service conducted by Rev. S. A. McNeilan of the Methodist Church were held at the home at 2 o'clock this (Thursday) afternoon, followed by burial at Pleasant Cemetery, near Mt. Sterling, J. E.
