Hi! Maybe someone can help me out here or point me in the right direction. My GGGrandfather, William Barr, married Emma O'Harra (also referred to as Harris) in 1878 in Columbus, Ohio. In 1880 the census shows that he had a 5 year old daughter referred to as 'Ola', possibly really named Viola or something like that, living with him and his new wife. I have no idea as to rather or not the "daughter" was his daughter or the daughter of his new wife but as he was 37 years old and his new wife was merely 19 yrs. old, I'm guessing it was his daughter by a previous marriage. Sadly by the next census - 20 yrs. later since the 1890 census was destroyed by fire -, that dau. was no longer enumerated with them. I would like to know if anyone out there has access to birth records for Franklin Co., OH that could check 1774 - 1776 for the birth of a female to either an O'Harra, Harris, or Barr. If so, maybe, when/if time allows you may be willing to check for the birth of this girl. I have been trying to find my GGGrandfather's parents for over 25 years and I'm hoping that by finding a previous marriage, I may be able to find out from where/whom he came. Anything that anyone can do to search the Franklin Co., OH birth records for that time frame for an O'Harra, Harris, or Barr baby girl will certainly be appreciated. Maybe "Ola" Barr, O'Harra, or Harris died or married at some point before the 1900 U.S. census (maybe 1885 - 1900 would make sense) - just don't know, but any info on her may possibly lead to info on my GGGrandfather. Any info or if someone can point me in the right direction - I'd appreciate it. Thanks. Diane
