Groeve City Record, Sept 8, 1927 Transcribed by Joyce Robinson RALPH LINEBAUGH DIES WHEN CAR OVERTURNS When the truck in which he was riding with his cousins, EARL and RALPH GROSSMAN, left the road and overturned in a ditch between Cedar Springs and Pleasant Corners late Tuesday afternoon, RALPH LINEBAUGH, ten-year-old son of Mr. and Mrs. JOHN LINEBAUGH, 782 Seymour Ave, Columbus, was fatally injured and died within a few minutes. EARL GROSSMAN who was driving, while not believed seriously hurt, was confined to his home Wednesday, while his cousin, RALPH, escaped with a few scratches. The LINEBAUGH boy had been visiting his cousin in Grove City and in company with the two GROSSMAN boys (who are cousins) was returning from an afternoon's swim at Cedar Springs when the accident occurred. It is said that the steering apparatus on the car failed to function properly. Funeral services were held this (Thursday) afternoon at the Luthern Church here.
