I've "rescued" an old photograph of Robert MCELWEE which was taken at the Baker Studio in Columbus, Ohio. The photograph appears to have been taken in the 1880's or 1890's with Robert likely in his 30's or 40's at the time the photograph was taken. Based on limited research I was able to locate the following information regarding Robert and his family: Robert Henry MCELWEE was b. 2 Feb 1856 Harlem, OH to parents John H. MCELWEE (b. 1818 in Frederick Co. VA) and Catherine A. ORNDORFF (b. Dec 1820 in Frederick Co. VA). The couple had 9 children including, Margaret Elizabeth; Sarah Catherine; Joseph W.; Elisha Jackson; John Randolph; James Alexander; Robert Henry; Cary B.; and Mary A. MCELWEE born between 1841 and 1861 in Frederick Co. VA and Delaware Co. OH. Robert married Emma COOPER (b. about 1860) in about 1888 in Franklin, OH, and died on 13 Jun 1925 in Westerville, OH.
