Margard MARGARD Werner L. Margard, age 78, of Dublin, died Thursday, August 16, 2007, at home. He was a member of Meadow Park Church of God, and faithfully served his Lord as teacher, counselor, and volunteer. He was a veteran, serving in the U.S. Navy. He was employed by Battelle Memorial Institute as a microbiologist for 38 years. He was a dedicated Boy Scout leader, and received numerous awards for his many years of service to youth. He was preceded in death by his parents Rev. Werner L. and Dorothy T. Margard. He is survived by his loving wife of 53 years, Joan B. Margard; two sons, Werner "Vern" L. (Katherine) Margard III, Guy Randall Margard; two grandsons, Christian Conrad and James Isaac Margard; sister, Karen (Robert) Reimsnyder; nieces and nephews. Family will receive friends Sunday from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at SCHOEDINGER WORTHINGTON CHAPEL, 6699 N. High St. (1/2 mile south of I-270). Funeral service will be Monday at 10:30 a.m. at Meadow Park Church of God, 2425 Bethel Rd., ! Columbus, OH 43220. Burial will follow in Kingwood Memorial Park.
