    3. I hesitated to add my two cents worth to this discussion of grave robbing and body snatching but since Maxine did I will, too. I feel sorry for both of these men. One man is right about the moral and legal aspects the other is hurt as I understand this Doctor was his ancestor. Let's face it we all have skeletons in our Genealogy closet, sometimes it hurts to have them come out but that is all part of Genealogy. I don't know if I knew such things happened for science. I do know that it happened to steal jewelry, etc from the bodies. My greatgrandmother was buried with an antique, family heirloom broach in 1944. I understand that now the funeral directors do not allow jewelry to stay in the casket. Before a person dies, they can WILL their body to a Medical College for research. If you do that, please tell your family FIRST. Our neighbor woman was horribly shocked when her mother died and they took her body right away. She had no idea her mother had willed her body for research. I see nothing wrong with that or donating organs. But, grave robbing and body snatching Nada. Sallie
