Hi Leona Thank you so much for this wonderful site. I was going to purchase CD of that program but this is even better. This brings a lot of memories to me. My mother worked there from 1947 to 1963. I remember my first trip downtown to Lazarus on the streetcar by myself. It was a wonderful trip. Fit so big. Mother and I always had lunch together on Saturdays at the resturant on the first floor. I am going to print all of this information and put it in her folder I have on her. She would not have believed that Lazarus would ever close. Wish she was here. She passed away in 2001 at the age of 90. She said when air conditioning was put in at Lazarus it was going to take 10 years off of everyone's life. I have soooo many memories. Thanks for that wonderful job you have done on this. Really appreciate it.
