    2. This is a Message Board Post that is gatewayed to this mailing list. Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/rw/yYB.2ACI/1485.1.1.1.1.1 Message Board Post: No, I haven't really gotten into the Evans branch at all. Sarah Evans married Elisha Decker Nov. 7, 1847. It was Elisha Deckers second marriage, having married first married Elizabeth Tillbury. Sarah was born in 1825 in Pickaway County, Ohio according to our records and died in 1892 in Hancock Co. Illinois. She and Elias had 9 children and she also raised his daughter and listed 10 children as hers. Mom is descended through Elisha and Sarah's daughter, Margaret Decker. This is the most information that we have on Sarah. There were Evans in the area but I don't know which one she belonged to. This will give you a time frame, however, for the family. The Deckers came into the area about 1800-1805. We haven't been able to connect them up with certainty. Elisha Decker was the son of Conrad Decker and his wife, Elenor Teegarden. Conrad was the son of Elias Decker, Rev. War and War of 1812. Our direct line is pretty well tracked back to Elias but we can't really defi! ne the relationship between them and the other Deckers. Ohio does have a lot of historical information on usgenweb that might give you some clues. Judi Anything else that I can help you with let me know.

    3. Sorry I couldn't get a message on the board. I have done a good bit of census work on the DECKER surname in and around Canal Winchester, Ohio, which is Madison tp, Franklin co. Langdon DECKER married Margaret A. Seymour. They had at least Austin H. and Sarah E., Margaret then married Samuel CRIST (my grgr grandfather). After his death she ended in Findlay Ohio with her daughter Sarah E. who had married Washington ALSPACH in Fairfield co, OH. I have been unable to find Langdon's death. I would also like to locate information on Austin H. The irony is I lived all my earl;y life in Canal Winchester and knew Deckers but did not know of a connection. In addition, Samuel Crist's niece married a DECKER, and they are buried at Canal Winchester not far from my former home. If anyone has info on Austin H. I would appreciate clues etc. Thanks Margaret Calvin >This is a Message Board Post that is gatewayed to this mailing list. > >Classification: Query > >Message Board URL: > >http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/rw/yYB.2ACI/1485.1.1.1.1.1 > >Message Board Post: > >No, I haven't really gotten into the Evans branch at all.
