Melissa From the Columbus Dispatch, April 21, 1922 page 16: MRS. CATHERINE K. LEGNER In ill health for the past seven weeks, from complications, Mrs. Catherine K. Legner, aged 89, wife of Theodore Legner, died at her home, 901 Park Street South, Thursday. Besides her husband a daughter, Mrs. William Steppert, and three grandchildren survive. She was a member of the Livingston Avenue M. E. church for many years. The funeral servives [sic] will be held at the church Monday at 2:30 p.m. Interment will be made at Green Lawn cemetery in charge of Glenn L. Myers. From the Columbus Dispatch, December 4, 1922 page 3: WAR VETERAN DIES Theodore Legner, Aged 78, Succumbs to Infirmities of Advanced Age Theodore Legner, aged 78, Civil war veteran, who served as bugler with Co. D of the 12th Ohio Cavalry, died at the home of his daughter, Mrs. William Steppert, 901 Park STreet South, Monday, from infirmities due to advanced age. Besides his daughter, Mr. Legner, who was a retired cabinet-maker, leaves three grandchildren. He was a member of McCoy post, G. A. R., and was past chancellor of Columbus lodge No. 4, Knights of Pythias. Funeral services will be held at the Livingston Avenue M. E. church Wednesday at 2:30 p.m. Interment will be made at Green Lawn cemetery, in charge of Glenn L. Myers.
