Have you tried a Google search for perhaps ........ ohio disease/epidemic/influenza/medical history; or maybe inquire at OHS; FCHS; State and or OSU libraries for their holdings? Checking mortality schedules (cause of death) may shed some light as well ? I'm not sure of the specific years, but there were outbreaks of yellow fever, malaria, cholera, and influenza throughout the course of history nationwide & worldwide which killed millions, especially 1918 and earlier.
