He was born about 1787-1792 in Virginia. His wife was apparently also from Virginia but I have no information on her. Robert had at least one daughter, Mary White who was born about 1816 in Franklin Co., Ohio. Mary married Joel Shaw in Ohio, or possibly Illinois, around 1835-1838. Robert White lived near or with Mary and Joel Shaw for the 1840 & 1850 censuses in Illinois then moved to Wisconsin with them. For the 1850 census in Coles Co., Illinois, Robert indicates he is 59. Robert died in 1859 in Richland Co., Wisconsin. His headstone indicated he was 72 at his death hence the uncertainty of his correct year of birth. For the 1840 census in Tazewell Co., Illinois, Robert has two males in the house 20-30 years old and two young females between 5-15. That leads me to believe Mary had siblings.
