    3. Hi! You might want to contact the Franklin County Genealogical and Historical Society. As part of their library they have an extensive surname file, and info on your ancestor might be found there. There is a strong interest in collecting info on early settlers. Also, as he was one of the early settlers someone in his family line might have applied for membership in Pioneers of Franklin County, and their file would have documented information. Happy Hunting! John Wilson Wiley left home as a young man and ended up in Sonoma County, California where he became a very successful farmer. > I would also like to learn if there were any connections between Levi Wiley and other Wiley families living in Champaign County, Ohio in the early 1800’s; which is only a short distance to the West. The census records of 1830-1840 indicate there were several Wiley families in Champaign County, they were: John, Joseph, and William, all married with families. > Another grandfather, Isaiah Thomas of Champaign County also migrated to Sonoma County, California in 1854 and was a close neighbor to John Wilson Wiley there. > > I have much information on these families, including pictures, which I would be happy to share. > > Bob Enloe > Bend, Oregon > > > > > ==== OHFRANKL Mailing List ==== > Franklin County, Ohio OHGenWeb > http://www.rootsweb.com/~ohfrankl/ >
