Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/rw/yYB.2ACI/15085.1 Message Board Post: Though we haven't yet taken any photographs at the Truro Presbyterian Cemetery (AKA Truro-Madison Cemetery) I do have a page online that has a bit of it's history. http://homepages.rootsweb.com/~rocky/Franklin_Cemeteries/truro_presb/truro_presb.htm In a 1945 reading of the gravestones your ancestor's stone was still in good enough condition to be read. In the 1981 reading the stone is no longer listed so it must have been too weathered to read or damaged/destroyed in the intervening years. If you are interested in having a replacement stone (military marker) erected you might want to contact Shelley May of Franklin County Operation Flag. Go to http://www.franklincountyohio.gov/auditor// and click on "Misc." A drop-down menu will appear and you can click on "Operation Flag." Shelley's email address appears at the bottom of the page. ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ Ohio American Local History Network (ALHN) http://homepages.rootsweb.com/~rocky/ohio_alhn/ohio.htm Franklin County, Ohio ALHN http://homepages.rootsweb.com/~rocky/franklin_county/franklin.htm Franklin County, Ohio Gravestone Photos &Etc. http://homepages.rootsweb.com/~rocky/Franklin_Cemeteries/index.html
