I am looking for information on Mary Jane Roan Shimp. She was born August 1875 in Ohio. She and her 8 year old brother, Charles, were living in the household of Allen & A. Jane Brown in Groveport, Franklin County, Ohio in 1880. She married John E. Shimp August 31, 1892 probably in Franklin County maybe in Groveport since they were listed in the 1900 Census as residence of Groveport Precinct, Madison Twp., Franklin County, Ohio, as wife to John E. Shimp, age 29 born June 1870; Clara Belle, age 6 born July 1893; Arthur E., age 2 born November 1897 and Ralph C., age six months born January 1900. She possibly died between 1900 & 1904 in Franklin County, John E. Shimp remarried and was listed in the April 15, 1910, Census of Franklin County, Ward 8 Columbus with wife Jennie and daughters Stella age 6 and Rachel M. age 2. I would like to find an obituary, a marriage record, a listing in a city directory, death record or even a cemetery listing, anything that can help start me on a trail to her. I am looking for the death of Quinter Isaac BRANDT. b. Sept 1866 Perry Co, OH son of: Isaac and Elizabeth (Loafberry/Loofbrone) BRANDT. He resided in: 1870-- Perry Co, OH 1880-- Perry Co, OH 1900-- Franklin Co, Columbus, OH 1910-- Iron Co, Annapolis Village, MO 1920 & 1930 Columbus, Franklin Co, OH I do not find him in OHS death index thru 1937. I would like to find his death date/obituary or other information. He was married to "Fannie" in the censuses and had 2 children: Edwin and Frances. All help will be much appreciated. Hi Dorene, Found in Franklin Co., Ohio Marriage Index by males, Vol. 1 1803-1897 (FHL film # 0285138): 1892 Shimp, John E. & M.J. Rone, Marriage Vol. 22, p. ?521? (There was tape over the page number). Did not find Mary Jane Shimp in the Franklin Co., Ohio Death Index 1899-1908 (FHL film # 0285205). It seems that not all of the deaths were recorded between 1867 and 1908. I have on occasion found errors in the indexes however.
